What a Day This Guy Had...
Well, really, his day was tame...just playing and an appointment to get sealants on his teeth and Dad's office.
The magic (tragic) happened tonight after his shower. Stanton was playing chase with him and he ran into the corner by the stairs, then proceeded to tumble end over end all the way down our stairs. Oh, it was scary! He has a large lump on his forehead, but other than that, he seems to be okay. He fell asleep crying in Stanton's arms, so we'll definitely watch him for concussion, but he seems okay. Sweet guy.
In happier news, this is a video I took of him this morning. He is completely amazing with my iPhone. The other kids know how to use it and yada, yada, yada, but he just thinks it's his. He goes into my room and lays on the floor by my bed and plays like there's no tomorrow. I charged up my old iPhone 3G for him to use as an iPod Touch so I can still have my phone during the day. He now calls it "my phone."
Here's a video of him showing what he knows how to do:

Easter Sunday
What a great day. I mentioned the Easter Bunny stuff on the last post, so I'll start after that. We got the kiddos fed and ready for church. They looked SO cute in their new Easter clothes. I had some bow ties made for the boys that matched the girls' dresses.
We fed the kids lunch and then rearranged our house to fit our 30 choir members. We had a run through of our Easter program and went over a couple trouble spots in our songs.
This program has been such a humbling and challenging experience for me. I volunteered to do it, asking our bishopric if we could do something in Sacrament Meeting to make Easter as big of a deal as Christmas. I had a vision in my mind of how the program was going to go and chose the music with that in mind. We've been practicing the music for several months now (since February I think?) and it has just not come together quickly. Even last week we were still really struggling -- feeling really discouraged about the whole situation. In addition to the music not coming together, the program wasn't coming together, either. The vision I had just wasn't working -- I wasn't feeling the Spirit as I wrote it and I was completely stalled. That was the case until last Sunday morning, when I finally swallowed my pride, asked sincerely for help, became willing to delete pretty much everything I'd previously written, and let the Spirit be my guide. The program ended up being very simple, but full of the Spirit.
During our rehearsal on Sunday morning, it finally felt like things were coming together. In fact, there were some very tender moments with the Spirit for me during that time.
Sacrament meeting went really well. We had some families and members of our ward who don't make it to church very often come out and it felt like the program came together in just the way it needed to. It felt like we really celebrated our Savior's Atonement and Resurrection. A member of our bishopric, Keith Christiansen, gave the talk and ended the meeting with the most incredible Spirit. Honestly. His talk was beautiful and so incredibly full of the Spirit. He spoke of miracles and the Miracle that is Jesus Christ. I felt a reaffirmation of my personal testimony of the Savior and His sacrifice for me.
We left right after Sacrament meeting to spend time with Stanton's family. We drove to Layton and had dinner with all the siblings except Julie and fam, who are still in Singapore. It was a great afternoon spent with family. It's so fun to see the cousins (on BOTH sides of the family) get along so well. There is rarely any quarreling and they just love each other so much. And I got to ride home with Jim, Rachel, Shelbi, Mary, and Judy. That was such a treat. It was so fun to play with the girls and get to know them a little better. And I couldn't love Jim, Rachel, and Judy more. They are so great. Stanton got home a bit later and we got the kids to bed together. Somewhere along the way (during Sacrament Meeting), I got some laryngitis -- I'm still fighting that.
This was an Easter to remember. Humbling, faith affirming, and all around joyous. Family is everything and there is One who makes my family what it is. That is Jesus Christ. He is real. He is alive. He loves me. He loves you. He has restored the church and kingdom He established when He lived mortally on the earth. That church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loves all of His children on the Earth. All of us. He wants all of us to live with Him after we die and are resurrected. We will be resurrected. I know it's real. I do not doubt any of it. I'm grateful for it.
And here are some pictures of our family this Easter. It's always a treat to try and get a few good ones when they "know" we want them!

Easter Program - 2011
The Greatest Gift in Human History –
Sacrament Meeting Easter Program, April 2011
Total length: approximately 24 minutes
Narrator 1: Today we celebrate Easter. We celebrate the life, the Atonement, the death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“Man never lived of whom more has been said and sung, none to whom is devoted a greater proportion of the world’s literature. He is extolled by Christian, Mohammedan and Jew, by skeptic and infidel, by the world’s greatest poets, philosophers, statesmen, scientists, and historian[s].”1
Why this man; why Jesus? Why is He the centerpiece of literature, of art, of our very reckoning of time? Of course, we know why. He is more than a man. He is the very Son of the Living God, ordained before the world was created.
April sings & Shelby plays: The Shepherd of My Soul, DeFord (4:00)
Narrator 1: Of all the recorded history of Jesus Christ, The Passover week --that journey to Atonement and Resurrection -- is perhaps the most poignant and even most important.
It begins on Palm Sunday with Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Fulfilling prophecy, he rode in on a young donkey while the masses laid their own garments and palm fronds at his feet and hailed him King.2
Jesus spent the following few days about His Father’s business. He cleansed the temple and taught the disciples and faithful followers about faith, preparation, and service.3
Narrator 2: Sometime while the other disciples were preparing the upper room for the feast of the Passover, Judas Iscariot secretly met with wicked Jewish leaders and agreed to betray His Lord to them for a meager 30 pieces of silver. 4
At that last supper, Jesus knelt and washed the feet of each of His disciples.5 He instituted the sacrament as a remembrance of His impending sacrifice.6 He quietly told Judas, “That thou doest, do quickly,” then Judas left.7
(Love one Another playing quietly in the background)
Narrator 1: As His final sermon to the disciples before Gethsemane, Jesus defined true discipleship:
“That ye love one another; as I have loved you.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”8
(Piano finishes playing Love One Another)
Narrator 2: It is hard to consider what came next as Jesus and a few of the disciples went to Gethsemane. As the disciples nodded off to sleep, Jesus left them and went a little further to kneel and pray.9
Elder Holland observes,
“...He left them to do what only He could do. The Light of the World stepped away from human company and entered the garden grove to wrestle with the prince of darkness alone. Moving forward, kneeling, falling forward on His face, He cried with an anguish you and I will never know, “O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me” (Matt. 26:39). But He knew, for our sakes, that it could not pass and that He must drink that bitter cup to the dregs.”10
In those agonizing moments, even hours, Christ took upon Himself our sins. Not just the “sins of all mankind,” but yours and mine. Each wrong decision, each personal betrayal of our covenants, every sin we would ever commit. The agony was so great, the physical burden so real, that He sweat “great gouts of blood from every pore...” 11
We know that His Atonement was not only for the sins of mankind, but for their sorrows as well. “...the Savior’s Atonement lifts from us not only the burden of our sins but also the burden of our disappointments and sorrows, our heartaches and our despair.” 12 The Son of God truly “descended below all things”13 that He might know how to comfort us in our deepest need.
Choir Sings: Consider the Lilies, Hoffman (5:00)
Narrator 1: Christ’s gift to us didn’t end in Gethsemane. From Elder Bruce R. McConkie:
“After this – His body then wrenched and drained of strength—He confronted Judas and the other incarnate devils, some from the very Sanhedrin itself; and He was led away with a rope around His neck, as a common criminal, to be judged by the arch-criminals,
They took Him to Annas, to Caiaphas, to Pilate, to Herod, and back to Pilate. He was accused, cursed, and smitten. Their foul saliva ran down His face as vicious blows further weakened His pain-engulfed body.
With reeds of wrath they rained blows upon His back. Blood ran down His face as a crown of thorns pierced His trembling brow.
But above it all He was scourged, scourged with 40 stripes save one, scourged with a multi-thronged whip into whose leather strands sharp bones and cutting metals were woven.
Many died from scourging alone, but He rose from the sufferings of the scourge that He might die an ignominious death upon the cruel cross of Calvary.
Then He carried His own cross until He collapsed from the weight and pain and mounting agony of it all.
Narrator 2: Finally, on a hill called Calvary while helpless disciples looked on and felt the agonies of near death in their own bodies, the Roman soldiers laid Him upon the cross.
With great mallets they drove spikes of iron through His feet and hands and wrists. Truly He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities.
Then the cross was raised that all might see and gape and curse and deride. This they did, with evil venom.
...while He was hanging on the cross for another 3 hours, all the infinite agonies and merciless pains of Gethsemane recurred.
And finally, when the atoning agonies had taken their toll – when the victory had been won, when the Son of God had fulfilled the will of His Father in all things – then He said, “It is finished,” and He voluntarily gave up the ghost.”14
Choir Sings: O Lamb of God, Lund (5:20)
Narrator 2: “As the serenity and solace of a merciful death freed Him from the sorrows of mortality, He returned to the presence of His Father.”15 Jesus’ disciples lovingly took his body and laid it in the tomb, borrowed from Joseph of Arimathea. Then, in 3 days as the Jews measured time, the two Marys came to the tomb to anoint the body of their Lord. They were met by two angels sitting upon the great stone removed from the door of the tomb. “Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen.”16
President Thomas S. Monson teaches,
“Our Savior lived again. The most glorious, comforting, and reassuring of all events of human history had taken place – the victory over death. The pain and agony of Gethsemane and Calvary had been wiped away. The salvation of mankind had been secured. The Fall of Adam had been reclaimed...‘I am the resurrection, and the life,’ spoke the Master. ‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.’”17
Narrator 1: A verse from Revelation teaches us of the great gift the Savior gave through His Atonement and Resurrection: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” 18
I know that my Redeemer lives. What comfort this sweet sentence gives. May we live for Him as He lives for us.
Choir Sings: I Know That My Redeemer Lives, Anderson, (3:30)

Easter Party at Grandma Rose's
We made a family trip up to Blackfoot on Saturday to have an Easter egg hunt and party with the cousins. It was a nice drive up where we actually made the entire trip without turning on a movie! Pretty impressive in our family. We ended up leaving a little (lot) later than anticipated, but that was because Stanton decided at the last minute to join us. He got my parents' wireless network set up while we filled eggs and hid them.
It was a wonderful afternoon. The yard was (as usual) full to the brim with candy and treats. The kids had a blast finding eggs and then evenly splitting up all their loot.
I took about 150 pictures, here are a few favorites--
My beautiful mama.
Backyard littered with Easter loot. Regan helping out.
Mom, Lori, Stanton, Cindy
Cousins making a haul!
A favorite activity at my parents' house - climbing the backyard tree.
I didn't take any pictures of the Easter basket jazz on Sunday morning -- the Easter Bunny doesn't hide the baskets at our house (lazy, I wonder why he doesn't make the effort here??!!!), so the kids pretty much just went for the baskets while Stanton and I were still sleeping on Sunday morning.

Sometimes it's REALLY hard being the youngest child. :)
Old School Bunny Cake!!! It was SO fun to see one of these. I had one for (I think) my 8th birthday. My mom is awesome.
Rose gals. I LOVE these three people so much. I won the sister/mom lottery.
A great Saturday spent with family. We put on a movie for the ride home and made it back in time for Stanton to go on a bike ride with a couple guys in our neighborhood. After he got home, I went for a run. We got the kids bathed and ready for bed and helped the Easter Bunny make his delivery.
They each got a new swimsuit and Land's End water sandals (my absolute FAVORITE summer shoes for my kids). The boys got a couple of Super Hero Squad movies and the girls got sidewalk chalk. Each of them got one carton of Whopper Robin Eggs and a small chocolate bunny. Don't feel too bad on the candy front, though....they got PLENTY at Grandma's house. PLENTY.
Easter was wonderful.

Friend Birthday Party
We've established the tradition of every other year birthday parties in our family -- on the even years starting at age 6. That meant that Lily got to have her first friend party this year. It turned out to be a lot of fun!
Once again, Kiki came and helped me with the festivities. The 10 girls walked home from school together and we started with a snack of peanut butter and honey sandwiches, teddy grahams, and juice boxes.
After their snack, we started our glam party. The gals all lined up for manicures then makeup (eye shadow, blush, and lip gloss) from Kiki and I.
Isn't Kiki beautiful??!
After makeovers, we opened presents. Lily got some fun things -- from Barbies to ZhuZhu pets, to a princess video game, to dress-ups and pjs. Really cute, fun gifts.
We finished up by decorating cupcakes. It was fun to have her birthday around Easter because there was a lot of fun candy to choose from.
Here's a picture of all the cuties at the party:
Hallie T., Brooklyn C., Rachel G., Lily, Lexie B., Chloe, Olivia K., London L., Avi O., and Avery A. Little models in the making. Or goof-offs.....but all cute!!!
This was a really fun party -- we kept it to 1 1/2 hours and it seemed to be perfect. Kiki was amazingly helpful -- she even helped me clean up. She's just a gem...honestly. I will miss that girl when she graduates and moves on...thankfully we've got a few years till then. Oh, how we love Kiki.
Happy Birthday, Lil!!!!

Happy Birthday Dear Lily Love!!!!!
Our Little Lily Love turned 6 years old today, Thursday. Oh, how we love her!
Her morning started out with her birthday breakfast of pancakes shaped like party hats and balloons (her request). We had our usual scriptures, etc. and everyone sang to her and treated her like the birthday girl she was.
After Chloe got off to school, Lily and the boys played and had fun until lunch time when she requested a birthday lunch of peanut butter and honey sandwiches. The girl could live on these.
I got her and Brigham off to school and quickly cleaned up the house before Cannon and ran to the grocery store to pick up a few dinner ingredients, ice cream, and the sugar cookies Lily requested we deliver to her class. It was tight getting it all in before picking Brigham up from preschool, but we made it. I picked up Briggy, ran into the house and whipped up a cake mix, threw it in the oven, and ran over to Lil's school where we delivered the cookies. She was SO excited to see me in the classroom. I just love that!
After finishing up at the school, we ran home, pulled out the cake, and tidied up before my parents arrived. They got to town at about 2:45 and the girls came running home at about 3:20. They were SO excited to see Grandma and Grandpa Rose!
I put my mom to work as soon as she got here -- she wrapped presents for me while I got dinner ready for the adults. I made our favorite Italian Bean Soup and French Bread since Lily requested Little Caesar's cheese pizza for dinner. Seriously, that girl is so funny in her food preferences....total junk food fanatic! I hope we're instilling some understanding of good nutrition and moderation...and I tend to want her to have whatever she wants at least on her birthday.
So, I got the French Bread finished in the nick of time and Stanton ran to Little Caesar's to pick up a pizza. While he did that, I quickly decorated her birthday cake -- more on that in a minute.
So, we enjoyed dinner together, then got down to business -- opening presents! Grandma Judy and Grandpa David came around 5:30, just in time.
Lily received some really fun gifts and was SO cute with every one of them. Notice in the photo her surprised, excited face each time she opens a present. From the simplest coloring book to her new iPod to her new bike -- she is thrilled and amazed at every gift she receives -- one of her wonderful little traits.
She received:
from Chloe: A Ken doll and a Hello Kitty Coloring book.
from Brigham and Cannon: something I can't remember...
from G & G Rose: an iPod Shuffle
from G & G Judy and Dave: Twinkle Toes shoes and a Pinkalicious Activity Kit
from Stanton & I: Barbie in a Fashion Fairytale, a new dress with matching doll dress, and a new bike!
She was THRILLED when she saw the bike and has already named it Big Blue.
We finished up presents and then had cake and ice cream. I believe her request this year was the easiest cake I've done. She wanted a "cheese pizza cake" just like from Little Caesar's.
Ha ha. I was happy as could be to deliver such a funny and simple cake. I baked it in my 13" round cake pan (that thing has come in handy so many times!), frosted it with red "tomato sauce" frosting, and then shaved almond bark (white chocolate) on top. I tried to convince her to choose some toppings, but she wanted her cake just like her pizza -- plain cheese! I thought it turned out pretty great.
Lily was thrilled with her day. She is so sweet and was determined that her day was going to be the best day ever -- and it was!
Lily is our definite middle child. She feels picked on often and is a bit whiny. She is also a very hard worker, focused, and obedient. She is loud and funny. She is easily provoked, but tender-hearted. She always has a song on her lips and loves to dress fancy and wear makeup. She is a joy to have in our home and WE LOVE HER.

My Hair is the Same Size as My Face Now!!!!!
Those were Lily's exact words today as we spent our day off school doing something I really didn't think I'd ever have the guts to let happen....but let's hold off on that for a moment.
Today was a "District Furlough Day," meaning that our entire school district had the day of school to save money. It's weird to do it right after we got back from Spring Break (why not tack it onto either end of Spring Break, right?), but it was fine because it's always fun to have a random weekday to do whatever you feel like.
We went to the Whittier Center park to play, which was just awesome. It's our first park visit of the year (hello, wettest Spring in YEARS in Cache Valley) and because the sun was shining there were LOTS of families there. It was so dang fun, though, and a real treat to watch Chloe, Lily, and Brigham play together and play together HARD. I don't think any of them even noticed another kid because they had each other. Oh how it melted my heart and made me so grateful we gutted out those first extremely difficult years of having them so close together. It's still hard, but the payoffs are piling in and I can't help but get choked up when I think of how blessed we are (and they are) to have one another and be so close in age. Cannon spent his time in the smaller scale part of the park, but next summer I know he'll be keeping right up with the older 3. He'll be one of them and that is so incredible. I sometimes wondered why no one told me we were crazy to plan 4 pregnancies so close together. Come to think of it, I think plenty of people told me we were -- so maybe I have wondered why I didn't listen. Well, this is why. For our family, this is the definition of perfect. I love how much they love one another. And even how much they sometimes don't. They're just so blessed to have each other.
Anyway, the park was a delight. Perfect weather, lots and lots of play, and a nice change of scenery.
BUT, before we went to the park, we made a visit to Cookie Cutters.
You see, Chloe needed a trim...
A couple of things to notice about Chloe's haircut:
1- She looks really grown up in those skinny jeans with her legs crossed.
2- She chose the normal salon chair instead of any of the novelty ones. Again, growing up. Whhaaaa....
3- Cute hair-do, although I'm starting to wonder if I'm not really as bad at French braiding as I think I am. Maybe it's just my girls' hair? I didn't think the stylist did a really great job on her style. The trim was what mattered, though, and that she did fine. Just an observation about the styling -- I think I do better with my elastics and I wonder if Chloe's hair is just difficult to French braid.....
Truth be told, we were there for more than just a trim of Chloe's hair. You see, Miss Lily has been asking for a haircut for almost a year now. She ebbs and flows with how much she begs, but it's been in high gear again the last little while. I have always flat out refused her request, telling her that there's only such a short period of time in her life when I can do pigtails and cute hair-dos and that cutting it off will ruin all that.
Her persistence payed off, though, because Stanton and I finally swallowed our long-hair pride and said yes. What better way to start your birthday week (which, according to Lily, is a real thing) than with a fresh do, right?
This was the initial plunge. I have to admit I was hyper-ventilating quite a bit on the inside. As you can tell, though, Lily was a pleased as punch about the whole thing.
Making progress. I'm starting to see the light at this point and have a little hope that we made the right choice. And again, observe the content, almost bursting with joy look on her face.
Now, before I show the finished product, here's a look back at our long-haired Lily Love:

My thoughts this evening as I make this post? Why didn't we say yes sooner? She looks adorable!

Pretending to be a Good Parent
Well, I'm a decent parent, but I sort of felt like a faker with these. I'm glad I ordered pre-made sugar cookies and frosting from Bountiful Baskets, though. It worked out SO much better than trying to find the time to make a batch of sugar cookies (and the self-control to not eat a million of them in dough form). As a reward for cleaning up the very messy play room this afternoon (oh, and because it's EASTER), I let the kiddos decorate sugar cookies this afternoon. I took about a million pictures....
Each kid got a plate with 3 cookies and another plate with the frosting, along with a few sprinkles. I like noticing their frosting styles. Brigham and Cannon spent a LOT of their time smearing and eating their cookies. Lily had a bit more self control, although hers didn't spend much time on the plate either. Chloe on the other hand, was pretty meticulous in her frosting and didn't eat a bite or a lick until she was done.
Each kid's finished product - clockwise from top left: Cannon, Chloe, Lily, Brigham.
"Look Mom, when I mix all the frostings together it makes goldenrod!!"
This picture shocked me after I took it. This boy is growing up. And I am in LOVE with those freckles. Ugh. Love.
I am so glad I didn't have to make a huge cookie making mess, clean it up, and deal with another mess all over again. Just one was enough for me to handle without too much drama...
But all that mess equals one really important thing:
Happy children. That's very worth the mess. Glad we did it!

Conversations
Brigham heading in to register for Kindergarten: Oh, Mom -- I've been waiting for this day!!!
Brigham: Mom, is Jesus always trying to get Satan to choose to be good?
Hmmmm....insightful......
Cannon watching Cinderella's castle appear at the beginning of a Disney movie: Mom, wook, it's Tinkerbew Moutain!
Brigham to Stanton, who was looking at something on his iPhone: Dad, can we play Angry Chickens?
Lily walking past a van on the way to the doctor's office: Oh man, I am so glad we aren't by that van anymore. It smelled like disgusting raw ham.
Brigham getting ready to go to Grandma Judy's for a bit: Is it okay if I ignore my cousins while I'm there?
Me: Why would you want to do that?
Brigham: Because I'm going to be reading my books.
Chloe: For my eighth birthday can I get a real cell phone?
Me: Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's not gonna happen.
Chloe: Darn. Well, how about for my 14th birthday?
Me: That I can live with...
Chloe counting on her fingers: I'm halfway to 14!
Me: Noooooooooooooo!!!!
Chloe at Walmart buying poster board for her science fair project: One of those dudes was lookin' at me like I was a freak!
Lily after I told her Sara, Max, Ruby, and Simon were coming to visit: Ruby?! I've always wanted to meet someone named Ruby!
Lily LOUDLY, while covering her eyes during a "scary" part in HOP (dumbest movie EVER, by the way) in the theatre: I can't watch it! I can't watch it!!
Lily leaving the theatre: Mom, I got so hot inside that I had to put my jacket on so I could get hotter.
Brigham to Stanton, who was entering his Weight Watchers points on his phone at breakfast: Daddy, are you texting your girlfriend?
Brigham is working SO hard to get his 'th' sounds correct. It's been probably his biggest speech struggle. He substitutes the 'd' sound for words like "that" and "they" and he substitutes the 's' sound for words like "smoothie." Well, no more. He's a 'th' king now! I spent a few days correcting him and showing him where to put his tongue to make the two different 'th' sounds. I've done it a few other times, but for whatever reason, it has just stuck this time around. He now catches himself when he makes a mistake and fixes it and even better, he stops and thinks about how to say the word correctly the first time. It's starting to come much more naturally to him. We're so excited for him. I think it will make a huge difference for him in Kindergarten to have that part of his speech perfected -- it just makes him sound smarter and more mature. Exposition complete. On to conversations....
Brigham in a sullen voice after realizing how many 'th' words he uses in a day: Aren't there ANY 'D' words??
Brigham: Thoesn't.
Me: D- doesn't
Brigham: You mean there's a word that starts with 'duh?!'
Brigham: The only people we're supposed to listen to are Heavenly Father, Jesus, the Holy Ghost, the Easter Bunny, and Santa.
I have a stash of little gifts the kids can choose from to give to their friends at birthday parties and such. Brigham found a light sabre in there....
Brigham: Can I have the light sabre?
Me: No.
Brigham: Please?
Me: No.
This went on most of the afternoon...later, Stanton and I were sitting together in a recliner when we heard Brigham's little voice coming from behind the chair...
Brigham: Dad, will you say something to Mom?
This happened a few times before we acknowledged him...
Stanton: What buddy? What do you want me to say to Mom?
Brigham: I want you to say, "Brigham is your son, so why don't you let him have the light sabre?"
Guess what he got??
Brigham: How long till we get there?
Me: Till we get where?
Brigham: Till we get to gito.
Me: What's gito?
Brigham: Gito is how we say "getting our haircut" in Spanish.
Me to Cannon: After the girls get home from school we're going to go get ice cream.
Cannon: An we'll get a soccer?!
Me: A soccer?
Cannon: No, a SUCKer.
Me: Oh, we'll go get a sucker?
Cannon: Yeah! We'll go to Chick-Foh-Way and get ha cweam (ice cream) and a sucker when the girls get home!
Brigham noticing a large old car on the road: Look, Mom, it's Lightning McQueen's boss! (Tex from Dinaco)
Brigham: Mom, is 'booty' how we say 'bum' in Spanish?
Brigham: Mom, is Jesus always trying to get Satan to choose to be good?

Odds and Ends
I seriously LOVE the dress-ups. Love. Them. It used to drive me crazy that I'd get the kids dressed for the day and then they'd take everything off to dress up. I'm so much more chill now -- thank goodness because seriously, how could I ever live without these pictures?
The boys are really enjoying coloring right now. Brigham is trying so hard to stay more inside the lines lately and use meaningful colors when he does it. BUT, look at Cannon's coloring! It is so shocking to me that this child can color with such precision. Not a single one of the other 3 kids could color like that at that age. It's darn fun to see these cuties doing something a little more mellow...and smart. Love it.
Do you ever have a moment where you realize you're an old person?? I had to snap a photo of my morning supplement ritual.
Maybe we should just forget the dog and keep the kennel. They love it in there!
PS, the dog comes on May 7th. We're getting really excited. Everyone has had a chance to try out the leash, the kennel, the dog food...JUST KIDDING. But only about the dog food. Everything else is true.
And some cute little smoothie faces to round out the post.

G Barb's 87th Birthday
We celebrated Grandma Barbara's 87th birthday with a big family shin-dig at Dave & Judy's house. We just don't see our siblings enough (my side, too) and we totally cherish the time we get to spend with them. And to be able to keep celebrating these birthdays with our grandparents is so wonderful.
I LOVE this picture of Grandma Barbara. Love it.
